Matt and mello stood staring at the young girl no older than eightteen she look frail and weak as she held a small baby in her arms "You are L's friends right
please take care of our daughter for I am dying and fear Kira will kill her her name
is Mira Lawliet and until her father returns I need her to be kept safe you are her
guerdians" she said and fled before anyone could go after her thus Matt and Mello
called the small baby girl Mystery since other than her name and L being her father
they knew nothing of her



as the years went by Mystery grew lovely even if she had some of her fathers
facial features and habits she was still sweet never knowing who her parents were
since her mother last wish was that she be protected from Kira she sat against the
wall near the doors to the room her guerdian who she cutely named Uncle Mel
Onee Chan since she could never remember was a man not a girl Near was Nii
chan who she admired she was part of Wammy house because despite being only
three she could already speak like a grown woman and was good at math though
wether she be like her father was still a Mystery to Mello who loved that small child
left so long ago as he put it the child who loved anything with peppermints was

"I wonder why Uncle Mel Onee Chan is still in there" wondered Mystery the door
flew open and Mello stormed out Mystery following behind "Uncle mel Onee chan
whats wrong" she asked worried Mello stopped in his rage he forgotten he told
Mystery to sit outside and wait he turned and knelt and hugged Mystery "I have
to go away for awhile okay Mira" he whispered "What why I don't understand"
said the three year old "Don't worry I'll come back I promise" he said and left
